R3,318,669.00 Settlement for Injured Passenger

updated: 11-Nov-15

De Broglio Attorneys have been lodging claims against the Road Accident Fund (RAF) for over 2 decades. They have a strong professional team as well as an outstanding support staff complement who have years of experience and legal proficiency in this field of law. They have been helping people who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents due to no fault of their own fight the RAF for compensation and have a track record of success in this.

Bandile Radebe* had been a passenger in a vehicle travelling to a work function when another vehicle had skipped a red robot and collided with him. He was knocked unconscious and sustained very serious injuries as a result of the accident. He fractured his skull and suffered a brain injury.

He was a young man at when the accident occurred and having such serious injuries negatively affected his life. He had heard that if you were injured in a motor vehicle accident you may have a claim for compensation against the RAF.

He contacted de Broglio Attorneys and discussed his case with them. They advised that they would be able to help him sue the RAF for his injuries and they entered into an attorney-client relationship.

De Broglio Attorneys proceeded to gather the evidence and relevant medico-legal reports necessary to properly substantiate his claim. Bandile was always kept abreast of developments in his case with regular correspondence from the law firm.

Bandile’s RAF claim was settled in the North Gauteng High Court for the substantial amount of R3,318,669.00.

The attorney who handled the case reported to be happy with the settlement and said, “The RAF gave a fair settlement in this matter when the plaintiff’s injuries are taken into consideration.”

De Broglio Attorneys continue to strive to obtain the best settlements for their clients and to provide excellent service for them. This is evidenced repeatedly in their results and highlighted in the way Bandile’s claim was handled and settled.
